Crappie Masters Tournament in Clinton June 22 & 23
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters One Pole tournament will be held June 22 & 23 on Truman Lake going out of Bucksaw Marina. Sponsored in part by Clinton Tourism/Chamber of Commerce and Bucksaw Marina & Resort, the tournament is the final qualifying tournament for the 2012 National Championship held in Columbus, MS. in October. Approximately 180 anglers are signed up for the tournament, which means prizes near $30,000.00 in cash and prizes will be awarded. In 2012 the one pole tournament allows live bait as well as jigs. All Anglers will attend the seminar and voucher pick up at Benson Center on June 21. Voucher pick up will be at 5:00 pm with the banquet at 6:00 pm, followed by the meeting at 6:30 pm. The weigh in will be at Bucksaw Marina & Resort on both days. Anglers will fish from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and must be in line by 3:30 pm. The public is encouraged to attend and have fun watching the weigh in which is always exciting. A free kids fishing rodeo will be the morning of June 23 at Bucksaw Marina and Resort. Registration for the kids is 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Kids will fish for fun and prizes from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Kids should bring their own poles. Bait is available at the marina. Next on the tournament trail are the remaining legs of the Missouri State Championship which will be in August. Anglers will fish both Mark Twain on August 11 and Truman Lake on August 25.
Clinton, Missouri hosts Crappie Masters Classic on Truman Lake in 2010
The Clinton Convention & Visitors Bureau had the priviledge of hosting the 2010 Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters National Championship. Nearly 500 anglers from 21 states fished the Classic. We look forward to hosting another Crappie Masters qualifier tournament in June 2011!

Tournament fishermen are eligible for some great discounts at local businesses!
