Annual Snowflake Garage Sale –This annual special event sponsored by the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department is an indoor garage sale held in the Benson Convention and Exposition Center. Citizens rent booth space and bring their treasures for other to purchase. This one day event is held the fourth Saturday of January each year.
UCM Repertory Theatre Day in the Park – the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department with local sponsorship hosts an annual University of Central Missouri Repertory Theatre Day in the Park at the Amphitheatre in Artesian Park for area youth, young and old alike. This is traditionally held the fourth Friday in June of each year.
Annual KATY Trail Cross State Trail Ride – Each odd numbered year the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department hosts the beginning of the annual KATY Trail Cross State Trail Ride. This KATY Trail ride is sponsored by Missouri’s Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks. The ride consists of five days of biking on the KATY Trail from Clinton to St. Charles, Missouri. Approximately 350 bikers camp overnight on the grounds adjacent to the Clinton Community Center before embarking on this great adventure. This event is held the third week of June annually.
Emancipation Celebration Days – This annual three day event celebrating the emancipation of African-Americans is held the first weekend of August each year at Hurt Memorial Park. This community wide celebration encompasses the spirit of a neighborhood hood and the coming together of different cultures with daily activities, events and contests for youth and adult with evening entertainment and is supported and co-sponsored by Clinton’s Organization of Black Heritage and the City of Clinton.
Halloween Hi-Jinks – This annual special event is a Halloween Party through local sponsorship is provided by the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department free of charge for youth of the community and surrounding area and is held the Wednesday prior to Halloween each year. Halloween Hi-Jinks is held in the Benson Convention and Exposition Center where children can participate in a variety of carnival type games, activities, and an age appropriate haunted maze.
Annual Holiday Craft Show – The Clinton Parks and Recreation Department sponsors an annual Holiday Craft Show the first Saturday of November each year. Crafters meeting the qualification of hand-made products pre-register for booth space for this one day event. The annual Holiday Craft Show is held in the Benson Convention and Exposition Center.
