Programs - The City of Clinton’s Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational and instructional sports leagues for youth and adult.
Adult Coed Slow Pitch Softball – is one of our more popular programs offered. It is a great form of exercise and provides a fun wrap up of the softball season. The Coed Softball season generally runs August through September with team registration in July with league games played on the Wagoner West ball field. League fees are determined by the number of teams and the amount of games the league elects to play.
Men’s Slow Pitch Softball – Team registration of the Men’s Slow Pitch Softball in during the month of April with league games played May through June on the Wagoner West ball field. League fees are determined by the number of teams registered and the amount of games the league elects to play.
Adult Coed Volleyball – Another highly popular adult program offered is the Adult Coed Volleyball League. Team Registration is held in January and league play is held on weekday evenings at the Clinton Community Center. League fees are determined by the number of teams registered and the amount of games the league elects to play.
Women’s Volleyball – The ever popular Women’s Volleyball League is a fall league with team registration during September and league games played on week day evenings at the Clinton Community Center during October and November. League fees are determined by the number of teams registered and the amount of games the league elects to play.
Men’s and Women’s Basketball Leagues – Join us during the months of February and March by participating in either our Men’s or Women’s Basketball Leagues. Participation in these adult programs is age restricted. Team registration is held during January and games are played on Sunday evenings at the Clinton Community Center. League fees are determined by the number of teams registered and the amount of games each league elects to play.
Youth Basketball – This instructional basketball program is offered for youth grades 1st through 7 with three divisions, a 1 and 2 grade boys and girls’ league registering in November and playing games at the Clinton Community Center during December. The additional two divisions consisting a girls league and boys league of a 3 and 4 graders along with a girls and a boys league of 5, 6 and 7 graders. Registration for 3 through 7 graders begins in November with league games scheduled to begin on Saturdays in January. All registered participants are placed on teams by a “pure hat” draw, and the teams are coached by volunteer coaches. With team sponsorship support from local businesses, the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department is able to keep the expense of this program down and only charge participants a nominal fee.
Summer Youth Ball – The Summer Youth Ball Program consist of a T-Ball league, a Coach-Pitch League and a Girls Softball League. Registration begins in late March and runs through the first of May allowing ample to time organize teams and order team T-shirts. The seasons typically run from the first of June to the middle of July. All registered participants are placed on teams by a “pure hat” draw.
T-Ball – This instructional summer ball program is for boys and girls ages 5 and 6 as of April 30 of the current year. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches and games are played on the Artesian Ball Fields.
Coach-Pitch – Coach-Pitch is an instructional summer ball program where each team’s coach pitches to their batters. This league is for boys and girls ages 7 and 8 as of April 30 of the current year. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches and games are played on the Artesian Ball Fields.
Girls Softball – The Girls Softball Program consists of two divisions, with girls ages 8 through 11 as of April 30 of the current year in Division I and girls ages 12-15 as of April 30 of the current year in Division II. As with the T-Ball and Coach-Pitch Leagues the Girls Softball teams are coached by volunteer coaches and games are played on the Artesian Ball Fields June through July.

Pee Wee Soccer is for 4 and 5 year olds; the Minor Division is for 1 through 3 graders; the Major Division is for 4 through 6 graders and the Junior High Division is for 7 through 9 graders. Youth soccer participants are placed on teams by a “pure hat” draw and are coached by volunteer coaches. Registration for the Spring Soccer Leagues is held January through February with games played on Saturdays mid March through April at the Clinton Soccer Complex. Registration for the Fall Soccer Leagues is held July through August with games played on Saturdays mid September through October at the Clinton Soccer Complex
Youth Track and Field Day – The Clinton Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Track and Field Day is offered to elementary boys and girls free of charge through a sponsorship provided by the Clinton Elks Lodge. Registration is held during April with the Youth Track and Field Day scheduled in May at the Clinton High School track. Registered participants are eligible to sign up to compete in three different track and field events of their choosing.
Youth and Adult Tennis – Youth and Adult Tennis lessons are held on a seasonal basis. With this program class size is restricted and lessons are held at the Artesian Park Tennis Courts and indoor at the Clinton Community Center.
